Michael Qaqish is a political researcher and writer in Ottawa, Ontario. He specializes in strategic communications, issues management, fundraising campaigns and media training. His need was for a content management system where he could publish articles including his latest columns and blogs on current affairs. This site was built using Drupal 7 and continues to provide him with easy, reliable means to showcase his work and political commentary.
GEAN Education Network
The GEAN stands for Global Education Agent Network, and is essentially a match-making site for education providers worldwide, such as universities, colleges to find educational service providers like travel agencies, immigration lawyers, etc. to facilitate the placement of international students abroad. Pure Web Media provided the design, development and hosting for the site which also features a paid subscription e-commerce service, searchable user database, user ratings, reviews and recommendations, uploading of training material to accounts, incorporatation of social media sites and YouTube videos, and more.
Milroy Engineering
Milroy Engineering, located in Victoria, BC is a producer of high-end proprietary products as well as CNC machine shop components. They have provided custom made parts to Viking Air, the ceramic and glass industry, and many others worldwide. The firm had a need to update their aging website to modern, clean look to represent their quality craftsmanship. They chose a content management system to enable them to manage all content including some imagery, a news section and custom profiles of their employees. PureWebMedia created a custom template and Drupal CMS to meet their needs and the site was launched in late 2010.
Vanessa Lianne Designs
Vanessa Lianne is a goldsmith and jewelry maker living in New York, NY. She handcrafts unique and beautiful jewelry which previously was listed on a shared, free service. Vanessa needs were for a website that was widely accessible from laptops, desktops and mobile devices along with a minimalist design which focused colors on the jewelry itself. A custom font was used which matches current print branding along with a generous amount of whitespace to highlight the colors and organic design of her jewelry.
This website was based on the Drupal CMS, along with XHTML, jQuery, PHP and CSS3 for supporting browsers.
